The People in the store are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly: you have amazing employees. but your web site needs a lot A LOT Of updating. I can't even search to see if you still have a bench I liked or a tool
Its a decent place if you know what you want and you need it on the weekend. I hate to give a low rating because most of the people inside are nice and usually helpful but the guys in the woodyard are mostly worthless. I have spent a few thousand dollars there in the last month and loaded nearly all of it myself. Instead of the employees on their phones in the woodyard how about helping someone load a truck full of 2x8s and a few 6x6s or a lot of 2x6s or you know when you are asked inside the store if you need help and you tell them you will need help in the woodyard get the employees out there to actually help loading large quantities of wood. Even worse when my wife and my 12 year old girl have to load large quantities of wood with no help. It used to not be this way what happened? I went to breedloves across the street instead for the next large wood purchase and spent 600 dollars there instead where they loaded it for me while I watched.
Check out clerk was very rude because I was returning items (2 of the same unopened) without a receipt. He spoke to me with great animosity that I would not receive cash back but a gift card of the same value. I smiled, nodded acknowledgment and waiting for my card. He glared as he handed the card to me and sort of brushed me off to wait on the next customer. I bought a couple of items and retuned to check them out. He rang the items up and handed them to me without a bag. I don't know if he was a new hire just learning the job but Marvins need to do a better job impressing on their staff the importance of customer service with a smile. If I return to the store I will ask for someone else to check me out!
My husband needs. It's really worthless.
A good Marvin's store. It's nice to have a good hardware store like this near by. Great selection of lumber and other building supplies when in need. No complaints of the quality of service.
