Absolutely disgusting!!! We called ahead of time made a reservation the guy on the phone quoted us a price and asked when we would be there then told us "come now and bring cash". When we arrived we went to check-in, the wife I'm assuming asked if we had reservations I told her yes and she told me no rooms available? I replied that a reservation was made. The wife called for the husband which I could hear him talking in the back room. He came out they spoke to one another in there language then to us. After they spoke he asked us for our IDs in between taking them out of our pockets a young kid came in with his little brother asking to use the bathroom, the owner told him there was no running water and there was some leaking... but he directed them next door to a food place to use that bathroom. After presenting the IDS I asked the owner if we could be shown the the room and the wife immediately said no then he followed up by saying that he cannot because he had many people go in the rooms and leave the door open and some other nonsense but I did ask two to three more times and they just refused to show the room before payment! He said they have many people needing rooms because of hurricane Irma then the wife stepped in and held up a piece of paper and said she had written down names of people who were dying to check in right now! Then he said if there was a problem with it he could not help us and again repeated they're many people looking for shelter. After being repeatedly insulted we took our ID's said no thank you and left.
Love the owners, they very courteous and kind people. Always willing to make your stay humbling. Needs some updates to hotel, but I always check in there when I go home to visit. However, there is a restaurant and Christian book store where the customers take over the parking lot when it opens. I think the hotel owners should buy up the building and make a breakfast or lunch buffet for the hotel guest. Had to park far away from my room because of this matter.
Most disgusting hotel I have stayed at in my life. I fell asleep and woke up with bed bug bites and blood on my pillow from the bites. There where holes in the blanket, stand on he sheets, the carpet has not been vacuumed, there where wet mold stains on the carpet. The bathroom was filthy. It was such a bad experience after the bed bug bites I ran and slept in my car for the rest of the night. I have never wore a review in my life but this is my first. I evacuated from the hurricane and havnt slept in tow days. All I wanted tog et was sleep not get attacked by bed bugs. In addition I have asthma and it has flared up from my allergies because the carpet is so filthy.
